Mr. Sluss has several years experience in Real Estate Law and 20 plus years experience county government with several years of experience focusing on property tax administration.
Mr. Sluss is locally educated with an associate’s degree in Political Science from Potomac State College of WVU. From Marshall University he earned his bachelors degree in Political Science. In 1992 Stephen Sluss received his Juris Doctorate from West Virginia University College of Law.
Before becoming an attorney, Mr. Sluss served the people of West Virginia as a member of the House of Delegates from January 1983 to December 1984. Afterwards Mr. Sluss went on to become a Mineral County Commissioner from January 1987 to December 1992.
Since becoming an attorney, Mr. Sluss has been serving the public in several capacities. Currently he is the Chief Deputy Counsel for the Kanawha County Assessors office. When he is not working at the Assessors Office, you can find him at his private practice located in Charleston, West Virginia.
